The Building and Grounds

Private parking with remote control and videophone access gates. Secure, private cellar storage room and maintained gardens.

Our apartment is within La Residence du Parc, which  is a beautiful and stunning 19th. Century building situated in the unique and attractive town of Saint Nectaire in the Auvergne region of France.

The residence is situated within the Volcanic Regional Park and is ideally  placed with a host of attractions close by. The area is popular both in the Summer and Winter but is never overcrowded. The beautiful Lac Chambon which is wonderful for swimming and canoeing is just 5 minutes drive away and the ski resorts of Super-besse and Mont Dore are around 15 and 30 minutes drive respectively.

The residence benefits from maintained communal gardens with remote controlled electronic gated access and residents have their own secure parking space and a storage room situated in the basement of the residence as well as access to a large, secure garage at the rear for storage of bicycles etc.

In the summer, the crystal clear stream is held back to create a beautiful lake with central fountain in the adjacent park. A minutes walk over a footbridge takes you to a wooded area with tennis courts, the stone ‘Dolmen’, an adventure area and miles and miles of beautiful walks.

With Clermont Ferrand airport just 30 minutes away and convenient road links, this apartment would be an ideal escape, at any time of the year from the hustle and bustle of the UK.

Affordable property in the Auvergne is likely to become more scarce as more and more British people take advantage of the low cost airlines and discover the beautiful scenery, open spaces, natural lakes and forests and abundance of outdoor activities on offer in the Auvergne region.
